What you’ll be doing:
Understand operational requirements and ensure maximum equipment availability to meet production targets.
Promote a strong safety culture through daily safety discussions and implementation of the Zero Harm Today concept.
Conduct monthly safety training, including the 5 Safety Absolutes.
Ensure guarding, LOTOTO practices, LMRA and permit-to-work systems are followed before the start of all jobs.
Complete safety improvement actions and conduct regular safety conversations with employees.
Prepare and implement preventive maintenance plans using operator feedback, checklists, requisition slips, CAPA findings and improvement suggestions.
Execute productivity improvement initiatives across the plant.
Review daily plant performance, including ME and BC, and discuss findings with the team.
Track and review MTTR and MTBF on a monthly basis to improve reliability.
Plan and execute annual shutdown maintenance activities.
Allocate daily work to technicians, communicate priorities clearly and maintain records.
Ensure all AMC equipment is serviced as per the defined frequency.
Maintain full compliance in areas such as waste oil disposal, e-waste handling and pollution control requirements.
Prepare maintenance reports with proper RCA and CAPA documentation.
Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed and shutdown maintenance is completed effectively for all utility equipment.
Monitor spare parts consumption and place orders proactively to avoid stock-outs.
Track spare part orders and ensure timely availability.
Monitor CAPEX activities, including ordering, installation, commissioning and timely closure.
Submit CAPEX tracking reports as required.
Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities through in-house fabrication, lubrication optimisation, leakage control, power saving, gas saving and compressed air loss reduction.
Deliver operator skill enhancement training.
Train subordinates for both current responsibilities and future development into higher roles.
What we’d love for you to have:

· At least 6 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial environment.
· Strong experience in preventive maintenance planning and execution.
· Exposure to productivity improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Experience reviewing plant performance and analyzing MTTR and MTBF.
· Ability to prepare maintenance reports with effective RCA and CAPA.
· Experience in shutdown maintenance of plant and utility equipment.
· Understanding of continuous improvement dimensions and objectives.
· Knowledge of condition monitoring for critical equipment.
· Sound understanding of basic machine maintenance.
· Knowledge of 5S and Lean Management principles.
· Good technical knowledge of bearings, gears and couplings.
