Knauf Cyprus Limited, a leading building- materials and –systems producer in Cyprus is seeking for a junior accountant based in Limassol. 

The junior accountant is responsible for the general accounting function including preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules and ledgers and account and bank reconciliations. Assisting with monthly closings and account analysis and supporting the senior accountant in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department. This position addresses tight deadlines. Reports to the Accounting Supervisor.

Main Job Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries
• Complete general ledger operations
• Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts
• Draw up monthly financial reports
• Prepare analysis of accounts as requested
• Assist with year-end closings
• Administer accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Monitor and resolve bank issues including fee anomalies and check differences
• Account/bank reconciliations
• Review and process expense reports
• Assist with preparation and coordination of the audit process
• Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.

Ideal Candidate :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 0-3 years of relevant experience
• Experience with SAP is a plus
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with other financial systems
• Excellent command of English
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal, problem analysis and problem-solving skills required
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required
